Here at the Ole Meetinghouse are some updates:
A.) Representation
Doug and Debby Wedin took on the responsibility of
representing us to Quaker Cove. Representation is still open to
the Yearly Meeting. One needs to be able to keep up on YM issues
and be able to articulate our position on them. Talk to Greg
if you have a question about this.
B.) The Web site and radio spot Project
Tim Hohmann has headed up the "Friendly Discussion" that can
be found on "A place to rest" within our website. This discussion
is just up and running, you should take a look. Those who
contribute to the discussion are: Tim Hohmann, Erik Boehm, Greg Geleynse
and Doug Wedin. Also, the 30 second radio spot has been recorded
and will begin to be aired in September 2010 on KAPS. More
articles are being developed slowly for the web site so keep an eye on
the Kiosk.
C.) On our search for missionaries to support
As you know our missionaries that we were supporting have
returned to the states. There is an ad-hoc committee that has been
searching this year for a new field to support. Tom Hohmann is
putting together the logistics of this, so if you have any questions,
let him know.
