Here at the Ole Meetinghouse are some updates:
A.) There are still openings for Representative to Yearly Meeting,
and representative to Quaker Cove.
B.) The Project
Update on our new project was given, concerning our radio spot,
website and hospitality volunteers. A financial budget was approved at
$4580 for twelve months. There are still some amounts that are unknown,
like the current radio spot prices. This is being looked into and will
be updated as information.
C.) By the way, some implications of the Project
Doug asked that people pray about filling the need
for someone to officiate at weddings, funerals, baptisms and communion.
Greg mentioned that baptisms and communion were taken care of, but
weddings and funerals were not. Weddings take a licensed person by
the state. Either one could be done by anyone with a public
pastoral calling. We're working on the licensing part for weddings
to make it possible for those who felt lead into this opportunity.
In any case that is one of the holes we have currently in our plurality
of leadership. Talk to Greg about it, if your heart is being drawn
there.
